About Nada Bet
Nada Bet is a unique border tourism destination located at the India-Pakistan international boundary in Banaskantha district, near the Suigam area. It is Gujarat's only operational border tourism point where visitors can witness the iconic Seema Darshan ceremony — a patriotic flag-lowering and retreat ceremony similar to the famous Wagah Border ceremony in Punjab.
The experience offers a profound sense of national pride as visitors watch BSF (Border Security Force) soldiers in their crisp uniforms perform the ceremonial parade, exchange salutes with their Pakistani counterparts, and lower the national flags for the evening. The tricolour waving proudly at the zero line, combined with patriotic songs and the disciplined march of soldiers, creates an unforgettable and deeply moving experience.
The Seema Darshan Ceremony
The ceremony at Nada Bet follows a structured programme:
- Arrival & Security Check: Visitors arrive at the border outpost and pass through security screening.
- Walk to the Zero Line: A short walk to the viewing gallery at the international boundary.
- Patriotic Innings: BSF band plays patriotic songs and the air fills with chants of "Bharat Mata Ki Jai."
- Flag Retreat: The main ceremony where BSF soldiers march in perfect synchronisation, exchange salutes with Pakistan Rangers, and lower the flags.
- Closing: The crowd sings the national anthem as the sun sets over the border.

How to Reach Nada Bet
By Road: Nada Bet is situated near Suigam, about 130 km from Palanpur and 180 km from Ambaji. The drive takes approximately 3 hours from Palanpur. The road passes through small towns and rural countryside. A private vehicle or hired taxi is recommended.
By Rail: Palanpur Junction is the nearest major railway station. From there, hire a taxi for the 130 km journey.
By Air: Ahmedabad Airport is approximately 280 km away.
Note: Nada Bet is best combined with a longer itinerary (3-day full district tour) due to its distance from the main Ambaji-Palanpur circuit.
